Is there a shoutbox block out there for IM portal?? If so please provide a link. I know that there is for IntegraMOD but I have yet to find one for IM portal.

Im also after an updated version of the arcade mod blocks, the old ones just don't work.

have you tried using the Integramod version? I have not tried it in a regular IMPortal install because Ive not installed a shoutbox in it. Here is the block. Let me know if it works.

suprisingly to me it does actually work. But as you can see it is stretched even though i have set the size smaller in the CP. This doesn't look very good but im thinking it can be worked out. Can you tell me what or where i will need to edit the file to manually size and color the shout box?

ive been doing a little work with that theme.

in your ftp client, open templates/SmootTech/admin/page_header.tpl

Find

Code: Select all

 <style><!--    body {     background-color]


replace with

[code]  <link>  

Check your templates/SmootTech/simple_header.tpl

it should look like this

[code]  <!-- DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"     "http]

you can edit size in templates/SmootTech/blocks/shoutbox_block.tpl

remember that when you edit a block, especially if your using CH, to go to acp/IMPortal/delete cache files

Ok turns out it does not work. It was simply loading some other shoutbox.php that i had tried to install in the past. Anyway i went back and downloaded the full integramod and picked out all the needed files for the shout box. The problem I have now is that i have no idea what tables to create or anything so i am getting sql errors everywhere.

I get this on a regular page load.

I get this when trying to post a message

By the way these errors are appearing within the shoutbox iframe.

Could someone please explain the sql part and or if i need to edit anymore files.

EDIT: I did find a couple of files that needed editing, includes/constants.php and lang_main.php. I'm sure there are others as for the sql tables, i'm hoping you guys will know which ones to create.

EDIT Well I went ahead and just installed integramod as a test forum so that i could see all the tables that are created and everything. I copied the shoutnox table right over now it works fine. The only problem is, is that it is stretched because im guessing it is meant to be in the center block but i would really like it to be on the header block. I think the first reply was telling me to edit the frame size but that does nothing. I need to resize the shoutbox itself.

Just checking in to see if anyone had any luck getting a shoutbox to work with IM Portal. I'd really like to be able to add a box with a shoutbox if anyone is aware of one that works. I tried the IntegraMod box listed above and had the same problem - it's stretched out and I'm not savvy enough to fix it. For whatever it;'s worth, I have two forums that I'd like to install this on- they are using the themes AshRetro and PlayStation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
