sign up problems, rejects password (SOLVED)

Ok I had to chose either user or admin approval, the none section that should just let folks in, isn't working right, which it was on.
Disable - None - By User - By Admin
Account activation:
This determines whether users have immediate access to the board or if confirmation is required. You can also completely disable new registrations.
